Apply for childcare allowance
2–1 months before the start
You’ll receive your first invoice from us. Thanks to the childcare allowance provided by the government, you'll receive a contribution towards your childcare costs. You can apply for the allowance now via toeslagen.nl. When applying, make sure you enter the start date of your contract. You will only begin receiving childcare allowance once your child's childcare has started.
We recommend applying for childcare allowance in good time. This helps ensure you receive the allowance from the tax authorities before our first invoice is due.

Access the Parent Portal
6 weeks before the startAround six weeks before your child’s start date, you'll receive an email from us with your Parent Portal login details.
In the Parent Portal app, we keep you updated with photos of the adventures and experiences your child enjoys with us. You can also easily arrange practical matters in the app, such as reporting an absence when you're on holiday or requesting an extra childcare day.
Getting to know each other
4 weeks before the start
One month before your child’s first day, we’ll invite you and your child to visit our after-school care. During a fun introduction tour, we can get to know each other a little better.
Our Childcare Professionals will be happy to show you our indoor and outdoor spaces. There will also be plenty of time to tell us more about your child. What activities do they think they would enjoy at our after-school care? And what would you like our team to know about your child, yourself or your family?
This helps us support your family as well as possible, both at childcare and at home. Because raising children is something we do together!
During our introduction, we’ll also talk through how the first day will go. Would your child like to come by for an hour before the start date to get used to everything? Then we’ll arrange a time for this together.
The start form
4 weeks before the start
During the introduction tour, we’ll already have had the chance to get to know your child a little better. They’ll also have seen all the activities and opportunities that an afternoon at our after-school care has to offer.
To make sure we're also aligned on practical matters, we'll send you a digital start form by email. We ask you to complete it and return it to us. The form includes questions that help us understand your child’s personality. For example, how do they respond to new situations? And what do they need to help them connect with other children?

Whenever possible, we actively involve your child. For example, during the introduction tour and handover moments. This helps them feel like a valued part of the conversation, heard and seen.
