Frequently Asked Questions regarding tours
What happens after I request a tour via the form above?
-
After you have completed and submitted the request form, you will receive a confirmation email straight away. Once we have processed your request, our Planning & Placement team, or a colleague from the location you selected, will contact you by phone to schedule the tour. If we are unable to reach you by phone, you will receive an email with suggested dates and times, or a request to contact us by phone to arrange an appointment.
When can I expect to be able to attend a tour?
-
This varies per location and depends on availability at that time. On average, you can visit the location for a tour within 1 to 14 working days after scheduling the appointment. Would you prefer to plan the tour further in advance? During the scheduling process, you can share your preferences and we will be happy to find a suitable time together.
What can I expect from a tour and how long does it take?
-
A tour offers you the opportunity to get to know CompaNanny, the location and the team in a relaxed and personal way. During the tour, we will walk past the groups, the garden and the shared spaces, while telling you all about our childcare and our unique way of working.
We understand that you may have plenty of questions of your own. Of course, there is plenty of opportunity to ask these during the tour with the colleague showing you around.
A tour usually lasts around 30 minutes, although this may vary. What matters most is that by the end of the tour you have a clear impression of CompaNanny, the atmosphere at the location, and that all your questions have been answered.Still have questions once you get home? Within 2 to 5 days after the tour, we will contact you by phone to check how you experienced the visit and to answer any additional questions you may have.
On which days and at what times can I visit for a tour?
-
This varies per location and depends on availability at that time. Tours are often scheduled around 10.00 in the morning or around 3.00 in the afternoon, to respect the calm and daily routine at the location.
Is a tour individual or in a group?
-
In most cases, tours are individual or for couples, allowing us to tailor the visit to your personal questions and needs. In some situations, a group tour may be arranged; this is always discussed in advance.
Would you like to bring your child(ren) along to the tour? They are, of course, very welcome. We kindly ask you to mention this when scheduling the appointment, so we can take it into account.
I prefer a CompaNanny location that is currently under construction. Can I still have a tour now?
-
If it is not yet possible to offer you a tour at a location that has not opened yet, this will be clearly stated on that location’s page on our website. If another CompaNanny location is nearby, we would be happy to invite you there for a tour. While no two locations are exactly the same, the atmosphere in the groups, the expertise and way of working of our teams, and our pedagogical vision are consistent across all locations.
Is the nearest location too far for you to visit? In that case, you can opt for a virtual tour of one of our locations. Each location page indicates whether a 360° tour is available.
I’m unable to visit for a tour, but I would still like to get a better impression of CompaNanny. Are there other ways to do so?
-
A tour at one of our locations is, of course, the ideal way to experience the atmosphere and get a good sense of who we are and what we do. However, there are plenty of other ways to get to know CompaNanny. On our website and social media channels, we share a lot of information about our organisation, our childcare and our pedagogical vision.
You will also find more detailed information and photos on the location pages of our locations. Several locations offer a 360° tour, allowing you to get a clear impression of our spaces.
Do you have any questions or would you prefer personal contact? On this page, you will find all the ways to get in touch with us.
Do I need to attend a tour first, or can I enrol my child(ren) straight away?
-
That is absolutely possible. A tour can be helpful if you are still exploring your options, but it is not required. Would you prefer to enrol your child(ren) straight away? You can do so via the enrolment form. By submitting the form, you register your child(ren) without obligation for one of our locations, so you are not committed to anything yet. You can find more information about enrolment on the enrolment form page.
Are there waiting lists at CompaNanny?
-
If we are not yet able to make you an offer because we do not plan as far ahead as your preferred start date, you will also receive a confirmation of your registration and be placed on the waiting list. Our waiting list varies depending on location, timing, childcare days, age group and type of childcare. We will inform you about any waiting lists once we contact you regarding your registration. If there is no availability at the time you are looking for childcare, we are happy to think along with you to find a suitable solution.
Would you like to know more about how waiting lists in childcare work and how you can increase the chances of securing a place for your child(ren)? You can find more information in our blog (in Dutch) on this topic.
Where can I go if I have questions?
-
We totally understand that you may have questions. Choosing a childcare organisation for your child(ren) is an important decision. Our website already offers a lot of information about who we are and how we work. We also invite you to visit our knowledge centre , where we share our expertise on child development and parenting with parents. Here you can also find the blog “What to look for when choosing a childcare provider”, as well as a handy checklist (both in Dutch).
If you still have questions afterwards or would prefer personal contact, we are happy to help. On this page, you will find where to go with your questions so we can support you in the best possible way.
