CompaNanny is there for the whole family. We want to make it as easy as possible for parents/guardians to combine a busy work life and a family. We do this by offering various services, such as warm lunches and extended opening hours until 7:00 pm.
With our calculation tool, you can calculate your monthly childcare costs and the amount of childcare allowance you are entitled to.
Every CompaNanny location is open from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm. Most locations also offer extended daycare, these are the hours between 6.30 pm and 7.00 pm. Having to rush is not a pleasant feeling, which is why, at CompaNanny, you don’t have to. They won’t be waiting at the door with their coat on; they’ll be playing happily with our Nannies. And for safety reasons, there are always two Nannies present until the last child has been picked-up.
With the help of our calculation tool, you can calculate (anonymously) what the gross and net costs of childcare will be and thus also the amount of childcare allowance that you are entitled to. The rates for childcare may differ per location. Therefore, please select the location in question within the calculation tool. The gross hourly rates are also stated on the specific location page of our Location section.
Please note: the calculation tool provides a calculation for the costs of the current year. If you want to know what the cost calculation is for last year, please contact our Customer Care team.
If you make use of childcare, you can apply for childcare allowance from the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration (Belastingdienst). This is a government contribution that is determined by your (joint) gross income, the number of hours you work and the number of children in your family that use childcare. What’s more, this contribution depends on the costs of the childcare.
The conditions for childcare allowance are listed below:

In addition, there may be specific situations in which you are also entitled to childcare allowance, so always check the website of the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration for the most current and complete information.
You can use your personal DigiD to apply for childcare allowance online – as well as provide notification of changes – via mijn toeslagen. We advise you submit your application to the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration no later than eight weeks before the first monthly payment. If you are eligible for childcare allowance, the Tax and Customs Administration will pay the allowance directly to you in monthly instalments. The Tax and Customs Administration pays the childcare allowance in advance and usually does so within eight weeks of you submitting your application. What’s more, a maximum of three months’ childcare allowance can be claimed retroactively. For further assistance, please call the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration Information Line on 0800-0543. An advisor will go through the process with you.
