We are CompaNanny. An energetic and innovative organisation with a social mission. We are ambitious, progressive and driven. No matter how good we are at what we do, there is always room for improvement. Because helping to build the generations of the future is an ongoing process.
That is why we never stand still. We constantly research, learn, develop and innovate. This is how we gain the knowledge and experience needed for our children and employees to be able to carry on developing optimally. And we share our ideas, so that as many children can benefit from it as possible.
Over the past 17 years we have built up a great deal of knowledge, expertise and experience and we want as many children as possible to benefit from this. But we cannot give every child the care and guidance of CompaNanny; we just aren’t big enough for that yet. What we can do is share our knowledge and experience with anyone who needs it. Through CompaTalks, for example, where we invite both our own and external experts to come and speak. Or with CompaBrains, our internal think tank. And via our internal training sessions for parents/guardians and webinars that we hold in collaboration with, for example, How2Talk2Kids.
We offer childcare to children from the ages 0 to 12 years, and we do so at an ever-increasing number of locations in the Netherlands. Our locations are homely and calmly furnished and we make extensive use of natural materials. We ensure that CompaNanny is a safe place for your child. Both physically and emotionally. We guarantee pedagogic expertise and the sweetest of Nannies. The first years of a child’s life are essential for determining what kind of person they will become. Which is why CompaNanny focuses on:
Our social mission, which we wish to realise in a professional capacity, is the starting point for everything we do at CompaNanny. It is aimed at reaching as many children as possible and offering the best quality to every child, so that they can develop in an optimal way.
‘We believe in a better world and spend every day helping to build future generations that will contribute to it.’
That is why, at CompaNanny, we think now about what children will need in the future. We stimulate creativity in children and increase their resilience, because we believe that this is essential in tomorrow’s world.
In order to stimulate and guide the children in the best way possible, CompaNanny continuously works on optimising its pedagogic policy. A policy that is continuously examined against the latest knowledge and insights in the field of child development. Our pedagogic approach revolves around seven values, because we believe that these values bring out the best in children and form the basis for optimum development. Our 7 Values are: Respect; Self-confidence; Authenticity; Responsibility; Decisiveness; Curiosity; Creativity.
Our people are our greatest strength. They are characterised by their drive strength/drive and positive energy. That is in our DNA and that is what connects us. We are passionate about our profession and are a second home for children. Everyone at CompaNanny is dedicated to guiding children in their development the best way possible. We take our work seriously, are eager to learn and dare to follow our own path. That’s how we ensure we provide more for children and we achieve more as an organisation. We believe in our mission and we are proud of CompaNanny!
Children feel at home at CompaNanny. They are given the freedom to develop and become themselves at their own pace. And from whom better to hear about CompaNanny than from a child themself? But we also asked parents/guardians about their experience with CompaNanny.
We want to offer children the best-quality childcare, in a way that every child can develop optimally. We do so in a place where children feel at home. Our branches are our calling card. Here, the teams ensure that the children are cared for in a safe, competent and dedicated manner and that parents/guardians are satisfied.
We have approximately 70 people at our head office who work together to ensure that their colleagues at our locations can devote all their attention to the children. And CompaNanny’s management determines the strategy: How can we grow in the future to reach as many children as possible while simultaneously maintaining our quality?
Founder Bas Beek is introduced to the world of childcare for the first time in 2001. He saw an undervalued sector where many things could be improved. "Childcare is such a beautiful and important task, because it will be the children who will soon take over. I thought it had to be more qualitative", says Bas. He further elaborates his concept and visits up to 50 potential childcare locations. The first CompaNanny store opens in 2003, in the World Fashion Center in Amsterdam. We bring you along into some of the many highlights of almost 20 years of CompaNanny!
