Why CompaNanny? 6 reasons to choose our BSO
The registration process
The registration process
Registering your child with CompaNanny is simple, non-binding, and free of charge. Using our online registration form, you can sign up your child(ren) at the location of your choice. The registration is completely free and without obligation, so you’re not committed to anything yet.
How does it work?
- Fill in the registration form > You complete the registration form, providing details such as your preferred type of childcare, location, days of care, start date, and your contact information.
- Receive a confirmation > Once you’ve submitted the form, you will immediately receive a confirmation by email.
- We get in touch personally > Within 1 to 3 working days, our Planning & Placement team will contact you by phone to discuss your preferences and answer any questions you may have.
- Receive an offer > Can the requested childcare be scheduled right away? Then our planners will contact you and send you a non-binding offer by email. Or you will be placed on the waiting list > If there is no immediate availability on your preferred days, we will make you an offer based on current availability and place you on the waiting list for your preferred days. As soon as a spot becomes available, we will let you know.
- Sign the offer > Once you have signed the offer, your child’s placement at our childcare becomes final, and we can officially welcome you to CompaNanny!
What does childcare at CompaNanny cost?
Before choosing a childcare provider, it’s helpful to understand the costs involved. To make it easier for you to calculate your (net) monthly childcare costs, we’ve developed an online calculation tool. On that page, we also explain which services are included in our rates, when you are eligible for childcare allowance, and how to apply for it. This way, you know exactly what to expect, helping you make a well-informed decision.
Included:
School pick-up service
Healthy meals and snacks
Stimulating play materials and activities
Trips during the holidays
A great start for you and your child
Once your registration is complete and the start date has been scheduled, an important period begins: preparing for your child’s first day at CompaNanny, for both you and your child.
Introduction: Around four weeks before the first settling-in day, you will be invited for an introduction at the location. This is a chance for us to get to know each other better and to answer any questions you may still have. We will also ask you to complete a digital start form at home, with questions about nutrition and care. This helps our Pedagogical Professionals provide the best possible care for your toddler from day one.
Settling in: Every child settles in at their own pace. That is why we choose a gradual approach, with the first three days at the toddler group referred to as settling-in days. These days start at 9.00 a.m., when all staff members are present in the group and there is plenty of time for a calm and welcoming arrival, allowing you to say goodbye to your child with peace of mind.
This approach helps your child process all the new impressions and gradually feel at home with us.
The first childcare days can be quite exciting for both your child and you. Our Pedagogical Professionals guide this process with great care and attention and keep you well informed about how things are going.

How can I register my child?
-
You can register your child free of charge and without obligation via the registration form on our website. This does not commit you to anything. After completing and submitting the form online, you will immediately receive a confirmation by email. Within 1 to 3 working days, our Planning & Placement team will contact you by phone to discuss your preferences and answer any questions. You will then receive a registration confirmation by email, and our planners will start working on your request.
If the requested childcare can be scheduled right away, our planners will contact you and send you a non-binding offer by email. If there is no immediate availability on all your preferred days, we will make you an offer based on current availability and place you on the waiting list for your preferred days. As soon as a spot becomes available, we will let you know.
If we are not yet able to make you an offer because your desired start date is further in the future than we currently plan for, you will still receive a confirmation of your registration and be placed on the waiting list.
Are there waiting lists at CompaNanny?
-
Our waiting lists vary by location, time, childcare day, age, and type of care. You will be informed about any waiting lists when we contact you regarding your registration. If there is no availability at your preferred time, we are happy to think along with you to find a suitable solution.
Would you like to learn more about how waiting lists work in childcare and how to increase your chances of securing a place for your child(ren)? Then read the blog we have written on this topic.
For how many weeks per year do you offer after-school care?
-
Most locations offer childcare 52 weeks per year. A few locations are open 51 weeks per year and are closed between Christmas and New Year. On each location page, you can find in the frequently asked questions how many weeks that specific location is open.
Do you offer full-day care during study days and school holidays?
-
Yes, during school holidays and study days, your child can attend our after-school care for full days. Holiday care is always included. In addition, with every BSO contract you receive a 50-hour flexible hours package per school year, which you can use as you wish. For example, you can use these hours for care on additional days when school is closed, such as study days.
At our locations CompaNanny Mariënberg, Paasberg, and Postpad, this flexible hours package is not included. At these locations, care during study days is already included in the contract.
Am I entitled to childcare allowance for after-school care?
Which schools do you work with for after-school care?

Each BSO location works with primary schools in the local area. You can find which schools these are for each location on the location page on our website.
